15 Eunomia
Asteroid 15 Eunomia, discovered on July 29, 1851, by the German astronomer Annibale de Gasparis, is a significant member of the asteroid belt positioned between Mars and Jupiter. Named after Eunomia, the Greek goddess of law and order, this asteroid is notable for its relatively large size, with an estimated diameter of about 268 kilometers (167 miles). Eunomia orbits the Sun at an average distance of approximately 394 million kilometers (245 million miles) and completes its orbit in around 4.27 Earth years.
