Praseodymium holds astronomical significance rooted in its involvement in nucleosynthesis processes and its spectral characteristics that aid in deciphering stellar compositions. As part of the lanthanide group of elements, praseodymium is formed during rapid neutron capture (r-process) events within stars, notably during phenomena such as supernovae and neutron star mergers.
