Phoenix II
Phoenix II is an ultra-faint satellite galaxy situated approximately 80 kiloparsecs away from Earth, possessing a modest half-light radius of 26 parsecs and exhibiting a relatively dim luminosity with an absolute magnitude of around -2.8. Notably, this satellite galaxy showcases distinct features such as a well-defined main sequence turn-off and red giant branch, alongside the possible presence of one or two blue horizontal branch stars. Furthermore, a notable aspect of this satellite is the potential existence of numerous blue straggler stars, extending to a g-r color less than zero and reaching a magnitude of approximately 22 in the r-band. The satellite is positioned approximately 43 kiloparsecs away from the Small Magellanic Cloud and roughly 65 kiloparsecs from the Large Magellanic Cloud.
