Cetus III

Cetus III, an ultra-faint dwarf satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, lies at an estimated distance of 251 kpc. The stellar members are both old and metal poor, and further confirmation of members is required for the satellite galaxy. The detection of Cetus III implies that there exists other satellites of the Galaxy at large distances which are at the faint end of the detection limit for many large-scale surveys.
